Starting a document:
Click on the green "W" Microsoft Word, press enter.
If you already have a document saved on a disk, at the File menu select Open and choose drive a : from the drives option. When the desired file name appears in the left box, double click it to open it.
To begin a new document, select the "new" option from the File menu
1. Highlight first name (try arrow & shift): bold - click on B icon up on the toolbar.
2. (Click mouse on white space to remove highlight).
3. Highlight text you want italicized: italic - Click on Format, click on Font..OK
4. Highlight text you want underlined: underline - Ctrl U.
5. To change the font of selected text: Click on Format, click on Font.. Now change the font to Arial or Wingdings (or whatever font your heart desires). OK
1.Open an existing doc. Click on File then click on Open or press Alt F, O or press Ctrl O.
2. Drives [a:], List Files of Type (All files(*.*), File Name (find name of you file).
3. Line Spacing: Pull down on Format, release on Paragraph, choose Line Spacing and pick one. OK
4. Header/Footer: Pull down View, release on Header/Footer or press Alt V, H. Type what information needs to be in the header. Now click on the far left little icon in the box on the screen. You will switch over to the Footer, go ahead and type whatever you want. Click on Close.
5. Page Numbering: Insert, Page Numbers, Position, OK
6. Page Break: Insert, Break, Page Break,
7. Undo: Edit, Undo Insertion or Ctrl Z
8. Margins: File, Page Setup, Margin - top, bottom, left, right.
9. Orientation: File, Page Setup, Paper Size, Orientation - portrait or landscape.
1. (highlight) Ctrl C (click the mouse indicator where you want to paste it) Ctrl V
2.(highlight) Edit (click mouse indicator) Paste
1. Highlight: F7 or Tools, Spelling.
2. Tools, Grammar, Thesaurus (Shift F7), Word Count, etc.
View, Page Layout, change size to 25% [on toolbar off to the right].
File, Print, [select pages or all] OK
You have many printing options here. Take a look at Printer then Options. Click on Cancel and Close when you back out to prevent from printing or go ahead a print.If anything, choose Features, Duplex, Long Edge Binding. This means you will receive print on both sides of the paper.
Close or Alt F, C or Alt F4
